Skye Schmidt grew up in Southern California where she was encouraged to pursue creativity. She trained in Vaganova Classical Ballet Technique at Southland Ballet Academy from the age of 4, where she was also introduced to Modern Dance at a young age. Skye earned her B.F.A. in Dance Performance from UC Irvine where she was awarded the prestigious merit-based William J. Gillespie scholarship.
