Next of Kin was a week long theater and dance experience, pushing out understanding of family by storytelling.

An evening-length immersive work premiered in Fathom & Form, a fabrication warehouse converted into our performance space.

Re:borN Dance Interactive and architecture studio Curious Minds Los Angeles teamed up to present an interactive performance using choreography, architecture, and technology to explore the concept of surveillance.  

OMNISCOPIC leverages the parallels of surveillance and performance, challenging the roles of audience and performer as physical and digital forms of surveillance evolve.  A narrative of choreography and spatial installations convey notions of control, isolation, empathy, and finally a sense of the inescapable power and ubiquity of surveillance. 

Artistic Director Boroka Nagy performed a solo at the 13th annual MixMatch Dance Festival at the Miles Memorial Playhouse in Santa Monica.

Artistic Director Boroka Nagy premiered a new work, These Walls Have Eyes on June 21 and 22. Boroka was selected to be a part of Brockus Project Studio's SHIFT/west Summer 2019 Cohort, a 3-week choreography residency including 30 hours of rehearsal and studio space, choreography mentorship, production skill development, and a final performance with fellow choreographers Brynn Bodair & Sarah Stanley, Lenin Fernandez Jr., Brian Golden, Ally Pawlowski, and Jason Vu. 

3rd year anniversary celebration and fundraiser event in the elegant Garden Room at The Grand Long Beach. Event featured an exclusive sneak-peek performance of evening-length work to premier in October 2019, an introduction to our newest dancers, social hour with the company and director Boroka Nagy, a reception with delicious hors d'oeuvres, beverages, and an enticing silent auction.

Re:borN performed the full 15 minute work "Love Came Running."

​Re:borN Dance Interactive presented a sold out evening-length concert at The Curtis Theatre in Brea, CA. The evening’s diverse works were from artistic director Boroka Nagy’s repertory created between 2010-2018, including two premiers. Nagy’s contemporary dance choreography explores a wide array of themes, including loss, community, family, and love. Using music score ranging from dramatic German industrial rock to upbeat soulful vocals, Re:borN showcases professional dancers delving into complex characters and emotions.

Amongst the Fragments follows a woman suffering from emotional disarray as depicted by relationships in her life. As her perception falters, her life becomes more incoherent and fragmented. She dances through her memories as we become witnesses to the collapse of the relationship between thought, emotion, and behavior, and how they relate to the world that surrounds us.

With the social trends of the 21st century, researchers have noted a decline in the ideas and functions of community. Taking inspiration from numerous thinkers from around the world, Re:borN Dance Interactive, a contemporary dance company and artist collective based in Southern California, brings a vision of community to life through this evening-length Interactive Performance Exhibit. Audience members will be immersed in a gallery-type presentation of dance, music, and projection, and have the opportunity to enter the performance space, walk amongst the dancers, and participate to the extent of their preference.

Art flourishes during times of inadequacies within the human state, so at this time especially, Re:borN aims for the audience to be filled with human proximity, as members who are welcomed into the performance and encouraged to be active participants.

Re:borN performed an evening of site-specific and interactive works at the Amphitheater at Bella Terra as part of their outdoor summer music and art festival series. 

Re:borN Dance Interactive received 3rd place at the Front & Main Dance Festival (Temecula, CA) with the choreography for Ende Neu, a dramatic, emotion-driven solo performed by Carl Ponce Cubero.
