She holds a Bachelor's degree in Visual and Performing Arts from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs, and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Music, emphasis in Integrated Composition, Improvisation, and Technology (ICIT) from the University of California, Irvine. Erickson co-founded and performed with Colorado Springs based electroacoustic quartet Verse, and performed with many jazz oriented ensembles in the Pikes Peak region. She has also been afforded the opportunity to work with artists Miya Masaoka, Pamela Z, and the Double Edge Theater company. Currently, she performs in multi-instrumental improv duo Hamsters in Honey, and Cal-Arts based Balinese gamelan ensemble Burat Wangi.
